Certainly not the dragon, if you can. But the best (in my humble opinion) this road, which is US-129, is the south. Follow down and the winds lazily through the mountains and forests. Much more relaxed than the dragon.
The Skyway is Cherohola impressive, but I have not finished yet.
If you are not yet to Devil's Tower WY or SD-Spearfish Canyon to see which it would have been worth living. If you spend a night in Spearfish Canyon, you can not just after sunrise and sunset, the traffic is so light, and it is impressive. And you have to do it twice.
Have a good trip and drive carefully.
