Anyone have experience hooking a digital camera up to a telescope? - digital telescope

My father was a Meade ETX 105 EC and I have a Canon Powershot S3IS. He knows nothing about digital cameras, but do not know that there is a way to get your camera to your fingertips. We want to be able to connect my camera to your scope to make pictures. Any help would be appreciated. THX
